Role Summary:

As an Associate Accounting Manager at NeoGenomics, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the company’s growth by ensuring precise accounting practices and thorough analysis. You will collaborate with a team that genuinely supports your professional aspirations. Individuals who are self-driven and possess strong analytical and communication skills will excel in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review, and maintain monthly journal entries and account reconciliations, while assisting in variance analysis investigations.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting personnel.
  • Support the Accounting Manager and Assistant Controller with special projects as required.
  • Analyze business operations to determine necessary accruals during the monthly closing process.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting Manager to perform data analytics aimed at uncovering business insights and identifying potential accounting discrepancies.
  • Oversee fixed asset transactions.
  • Identify opportunities for process efficiencies and propose scalable solutions.
  • Prepare and review requests from external auditors for interim and annual audits.
  • Assist in managing audit requests related to statutory and external audits.
  • Cultivate collaborative relationships across various functions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum of 4 years of accounting or relevant experience.
  • Strong grasp of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to foster relationships within and outside the accounting team.
  • Proficient analytical skills, including model building and data mining experience.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA certification.
  • Experience with Big 4 public accounting firms.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably Oracle.

  • Capacity to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Advanced computer skills in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; experience with large-scale automated systems.
  • Proven leadership and management capabilities.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capability to meet deadlines and work collaboratively across all organizational levels.
