Working Hours: 7 AM - 4 PM

The role of
Junior Analytical Scientist is situated within our Cardiometabolic Research and Development division.

Under general oversight, this position is tasked with providing manufacturing support and aiding senior scientific personnel in executing intricate research projects that involve a variety of laboratory techniques, apparatus, and protocols.


This job description will be reviewed periodically and is subject to change by management.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Conduct analytical evaluations of proteins utilizing potentially intricate methods, procedures, and equipment.
  • Engage in moderately complex experimental work, including data collection, summarization, and analysis to support the development of analytical methods.
  • Execute specialized tasks independently, requiring minimal ongoing guidance.
  • Assist in the formulation of operational procedures.
  • Maintain records and laboratory notebooks with professionalism and accuracy.
  • Operate sophisticated laboratory equipment and perform routine maintenance and repairs, collaborating with contracted service technicians as necessary.
  • Ensure safe operation of equipment and adherence to established guidelines and applicable regulations.
  • May involve work with potentially infectious materials.
  • Familiarity with federal regulations and standards, such as QSR's, ISO, ISO 13485, and CMDR.
  • Demonstrate commitment to the development, implementation, and effectiveness of the Quality Management System in accordance with ISO, FDA, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Exhibit professional conduct with both internal and external business associates that positively reflects the company’s values and practices.
  • Understand the quality implications that may arise from improper job performance, including awareness of potential device defects in areas of responsibility.
  • Adhere to established business policies while carrying out duties.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS | EDUCATION/
EXPERIENCE:

Minimum education:

  • BA/BS in chemistry or biological sciences; or equivalent.

Minimum experience:

  • Zero to two years of relevant experience, with knowledge and skills pertinent to the department.
  • Experience in following detailed instructions, maintaining accurate records, and executing assignments thoroughly while adhering to safe laboratory practices.
  • Experience in problem-solving and troubleshooting within a laboratory context.
