Job Summary

The Med/Surg Licensed Nurse Assistant (LNA) plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care under the direction of the Staff Nurse and Charge Nurse. This position requires a strong focus on safety, security, and patient wellness, with a commitment to providing exceptional care and ensuring patient satisfaction in every interaction.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver basic personal care to patients, prioritizing their needs and comfort.
  • Work collaboratively with the patient care team to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Participate in hospital safety practices and procedures, maintaining a high level of familiarity with clinical protocols.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to patient needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Meet the requirements for employment, including a high school education or equivalent, and an unencumbered LNA license with the State of Vermont.
Benefits

This position is eligible for select benefits, including life and disability insurance, a 403(b) plan with employer contribution, and time-off plans. Additionally, the University of Vermont Health Network offers a competitive hourly rate of pay, with differentials available for night, evening, and weekend shifts.

Employment Bonus

An employment bonus of up to $7,500 (subject to applicable taxes) is available for this position. The bonus is paid in three installments: 1st after 90 days, 2nd after one year, and 3rd after two years. To be eligible, employees must commit to continuous full-time or part-time employment in an eligible position for two years with Porter Medical Center. Current University of Vermont Health Network employees are excluded from eligibility for this bonus.
