Position Overview

The role involves assessing user requirements, operational concepts, and overarching system architectures to formulate system requirements specifications. The candidate will analyze system requirements and spearhead design and development initiatives. This position will guide users in articulating their needs, suggest alternative solutions, and conduct feasibility assessments. The individual will provide technical direction for the amalgamation of requirements, design, and technology, ensuring the seamless integration of new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive technical documentation and system architecture specifications.
  • Facilitate system development and implementation planning through the evaluation or preparation of system engineering management plans and integration and testing strategies.
  • Engage with government representatives regarding technical considerations in system engineering and resolve associated challenges.
  • Assume ultimate accountability for the technical integrity of deliverables within the system engineering domain.
  • Maintain effective communication with program personnel, government officials, and senior management.

Core Capabilities

  • Support data flow management, including monitoring system data from the collection segment, scripting, and optimizing data exchanges.
  • Proactively review historical data flow statistics to troubleshoot anomalies and ensure efficient operations.
  • Collaborate with corporate data flow teams to uphold backend processing operations and meet corporate requirements.
  • Assist capabilities teams in deploying, upgrading, and decommissioning operational systems.
  • Support ongoing operations in delivering critical data from tasked systems to analysts and stakeholders.
  • Analyze data flow reports to maintain the operational health of mission systems.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of all operational mission systems to enhance backend processing and storage solutions.

Qualifications

  • Must possess TS/SCI clearance with an appropriate polygraph.
  • A Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related field from an accredited institution is required.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of experience as a Systems Engineer in similar programs and contracts is essential. Alternatively, five (5) years of additional experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree.
  • Experience with data flow management using NIFI (NiagaraFiles) is required for this level.
