Position Overview

The Portfolio Risk Analyst is tasked with converting data into actionable insights that will propel strategic initiatives and bolster essential business goals. This role is pivotal in developing and sustaining comprehensive reporting and analytics, metrics, and key performance indicators, while also delivering thorough analysis and recommendations aimed at enhancing business performance and effective risk management.

Compensation for this role ranges from $103,000 to $138,917.48, accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities

The Portfolio Risk Analyst will engage in essential duties and responsibilities, which may include but are not limited to:

  8. Staying informed about the organization's products and services.
  9. Responsible for reporting, monitoring, and analyzing trends related to the loan portfolio and collections.
  10. Becoming a subject matter expert for the business unit by comprehensively understanding departmental strategies, data, and systems.
  11. Leading data management, analytics, and business intelligence functions.
  12. Developing reports, dashboards, and performance metrics to identify business trends and support strategic initiatives.
  13. Assisting in data collection and report generation for various meetings and analyses.
  14. Keeping current on portfolio credit risk topics, including economic conditions and industry trends.
  15. Analyzing and interpreting performance and financial results for the department and management.
  16. Providing support during audits and examinations.
  17. Assisting in reporting analytics to senior management.
  18. Evaluating existing reporting and suggesting improvements for automation and efficiency.
  19. Collaborating with operational support roles to identify gaps in processes and ensure alignment with strategies and regulatory guidelines.
  20. Monitoring vendor performance against established metrics and service level agreements.
  21. Creating and maintaining insightful reports on key performance indicators related to collections.
  22. Tracking staff performance and delinquency trends to inform strategic decisions.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience of at least six years in portfolio reporting and analytics.
  2. A minimum of five years of experience in collections with consumer and/or commercial loans, demonstrating a strong understanding of industry regulations.
  3. Familiarity with software and systems such as Microsoft Power BI, R, Python, SQL, and Microsoft Visual Basic (VBA).
  4. Intermediate knowledge of database architecture and data analysis tools.
  5. Advanced skills in data modeling and creating relationships between diverse data sources.
  6. Strong analytical skills with experience in leveraging complex datasets for business decisions.
  7. Curiosity and resourcefulness to master complex concepts and improve processes.
  8. Project management and presentation skills, including the ability to propose strategic recommendations.
  9. Proven experience in metric management, risk analysis, and data analytics.
  10. Proficiency in data visualization tools and statistical analysis software.
  11. Ability to prioritize tasks and organize work efficiently.
  12. Strong time management skills to handle multiple assignments effectively.
  13. Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
  14. Interpersonal skills to represent the organization positively.
  15. Excellent numerical aptitude with attention to detail.
  16. Must be bondable.
Reporting Structure

This position reports to the Senior Vice President of Account Resolutions.
