Job Title: Roll-Off Driver

Position Summary

The Roll-Off Driver position is essential for servicing client accounts by collecting and transporting waste or recyclable materials to specified locations. Reporting directly to the Operations Supervisor, the driver is integral to the effective management of waste disposal operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide, exchange, and remove roll-off containers and compactors for clients.
  • Execute work tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Operate the vehicle in accordance with safety standards.
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
  • Report any incidents or concerns to the Route Manager or Dispatch.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance route efficiencies.
  • Inform management of any service disruptions or safety risks.
  • Effectively communicate customer requests.
  • Maintain driver logs and ensure the vehicle is kept clean.
  • Adhere to route assignments and complete end-of-day reporting.
  • Assist fellow drivers as necessary to fulfill customer requirements.

Qualifications

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a valid Class B CDL and DOT medical certification.
  • No recent DUIs or license suspensions.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment assessments.
  • Proficient in reading and speaking English.

Physical Requirements

  • Works under moderate supervision.
  • Requires the ability to push and pull weights up to 110 pounds.
  • Frequent walking and standing for up to 8 hours daily.
  • Able to enter, climb, and exit the truck cab regularly.
  • Manual dexterity is necessary for operating truck controls.
