Medical Records Specialist

EL PROYECTO DEL BARRIO is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Records Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills and be able to maintain accurate and confidential medical records.
Responsibilities:
* Maintain and retrieve electronic medical records
* Process requests for medical records and other related information
* Distribute incoming faxed lab reports and other reports
* Perform other tasks as assigned by the Lead Medical Records Clerk or Clinic Manager
Requirements:
* Good oral and written communication skills
* Knowledge of computers and bilingual skills (Spanish/English)
* Professional and interpersonal skills
Additional Requirements:
* Must submit to and pass a pre-employment background check and drug test
* TB Test, COVID-19 Vaccines and Boosters required
* BLS/CPR certification required
Qualifications:
* High School Diploma or equivalent achievement
* Minimum one year of experience in medical records or medical office
