Job Summary

As a Medical Records Retrieval Specialist at TEKsystems, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and maintaining a system to organize medical records and other materials/resources required for the overall MRR processes to work effectively. Your responsibilities will include calling provider offices and hospitals to request medical records, recording progress and data entry in abstraction tools, and coordinating with Administrative Leads and Medical Record Reviewers to manage caseloads. You will also communicate with the BSC MRR Team to effectively manage project assignments and work as a member of a team to coordinate and maintain a system to organize medical records and other materials/resources. Additionally, you will make follow-up calls regarding expected charts, provide information to offices, send fax requests to providers, and research provider information and claims information using online websites/internal applications. Daily use of Microsoft Excel to manage various projects and report to leads on progress and barriers is also required. Perseverance to find the correct information to retrieve the medical record is essential. Other duties as assigned, including possible minimal traveling, will also be part of your responsibilities.
