Sales Account Manager Role Overview

Proven IT seeks a Sales Account Manager to execute the company's sales strategy at a territory level. As a key member of the sales team, you will be responsible for expanding sales revenue and driving new market share.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify new potential opportunities through qualifying while prospecting, including research, cold calls, and field drops.
  • Focus on discovering new opportunities and utilizing sales activities and database management to reach and track results.
  • Utilize a database and the internet to research prospects and qualify leads to increase contact to appointment ratio benchmarks.
  • Apply learning to teach and tailor technology solutions to client environments.
  • Assist in assessing a client's business, analyzing data and costs to provide an accurate assessment of their environment.
  • Assist in drafting Assessment documents for delivery to clients.
  • Proactively develop new client contacts, reviews leads, and participates in clients' strategic planning sessions.
  • Support sales opportunities by providing information on product capabilities and technical specifications.
  • Maintain records of all account activity within the sales database.
  • Identify contacts in accounts and conduct strategic calls.
  • Build credibility through sold deals and continual communication.
  • Actively collect and report on client satisfaction, responding appropriately.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree minimum requirement.
  • 1-2 years' experience in B2B sales/account management.
  • Detail-oriented, self-starter with outstanding follow-through skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft products (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Valid driver's license, minimum levels of auto insurance coverage, and reliable transportation.
  • Travel up to 50%.
