Sales Account Manager Role Overview
Proven IT seeks a Sales Account Manager to execute the company's sales strategy at a territory level. As a key member of the sales team, you will be responsible for expanding sales revenue and driving new market share.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify new potential opportunities through qualifying while prospecting, including research, cold calls, and field drops.
- Focus on discovering new opportunities and utilizing sales activities and database management to reach and track results.
- Utilize a database and the internet to research prospects and qualify leads to increase contact to appointment ratio benchmarks.
- Apply learning to teach and tailor technology solutions to client environments.
- Assist in assessing a client's business, analyzing data and costs to provide an accurate assessment of their environment.
- Assist in drafting Assessment documents for delivery to clients.
- Proactively develop new client contacts, reviews leads, and participates in clients' strategic planning sessions.
- Support sales opportunities by providing information on product capabilities and technical specifications.
- Maintain records of all account activity within the sales database.
- Identify contacts in accounts and conduct strategic calls.
- Build credibility through sold deals and continual communication.
- Actively collect and report on client satisfaction, responding appropriately.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree minimum requirement.
- 1-2 years' experience in B2B sales/account management.
- Detail-oriented, self-starter with outstanding follow-through skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft products (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Excellent time management skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Valid driver's license, minimum levels of auto insurance coverage, and reliable transportation.
- Travel up to 50%.
