About the Role

Join our innovative team at Amazon Services LLC as a Lead Software Engineer focused on AWS Neuron Inference. This position is pivotal in advancing the software ecosystem for AWS Inferentia and Trainium machine learning accelerators.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary duties will include:

  • Driving the development and performance enhancement of diverse machine learning model families, including large-scale models such as Llama3 and DBRX.
  • Collaborating closely with compiler and runtime engineers to design and optimize distributed inference solutions.
  • Utilizing your expertise in optimizing inference performance for latency and throughput using frameworks like PyTorch or JAX.
  • Leading initiatives to integrate distributed inference capabilities into popular frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
  • Tuning models to achieve peak performance on AWS Trainium and Inferentia hardware.

  • Architect and implement solutions that enhance software efficiency.
  • Create metrics and automation to streamline processes.
  • Engage in design discussions and code reviews, fostering communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to strategic business decisions through your technical insights.

QualificationsBasic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language.
  • Experience in leading design or architecture of systems.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience mentoring or leading engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
