About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer to join our EKS Anywhere team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable and reliable software systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop software systems that meet the needs of our customers
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
  • Develop and maintain high-quality software code, following industry best practices
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve code quality
  • Work with the team to identify and resolve technical issues
Requirements
  • 7+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 7+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
  • 7+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
Preferred Qualifications
  • 7+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Development experience with Golang
  • Experience with at least one of the following: Kubernetes, Mesos, Docker, etcd. Experience with Rancher, Openshift or other container orchestration platforms
  • Experience with design/architecting large-scale distributed systems preferably using AWS technologies
  • Experience with container networking

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $151,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
