Job Overview
The Front Desk Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the front desk, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and maintaining high standards of service.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This role includes direct supervision of front desk associates and other staff members. Responsibilities encompass interviewing, hiring, training, and evaluating team performance, while adhering to company policies and legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Guarantee that every guest receives exemplary service by fostering a welcoming atmosphere, greeting guests promptly, and upholding service standards.
- Exhibit professionalism and hospitality, ensuring all guest interactions are handled ethically and legally.
- Implement safety and security protocols to maintain a secure environment for both guests and staff.
- Foster positive relationships among team members to cultivate a supportive workplace culture.
- Manage front desk operations efficiently, including staffing schedules aligned with occupancy forecasts.
- Oversee daily activities of front desk personnel, bell staff, and transportation services.
- Utilize leadership skills to enhance employee engagement and performance.
- Ensure the department meets customer service expectations through teamwork and collaboration.
- Coordinate payroll and staffing in line with budgetary guidelines.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of front desk supplies, recommending purchases as necessary.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations across the hotel.
- Participate in management meetings to discuss strategies for improving service delivery.
Qualifications
Education: A degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role within a hotel environment, preferably with experience in a brand hotel.
Skills: Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills are essential.
