Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Specialist to provide on-site technical services, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment, and ensure all systems are functioning optimally. This role requires frequent travel to client sites, troubleshooting a variety of systems, and working closely with our engineering teams to deliver outstanding customer service and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair systems and equipment related to civil engineering projects, including energy systems, structural installations, and infrastructure components.
  • Perform diagnostic tests and troubleshooting of systems to detect malfunctions and determine solutions.
  • Provide preventative maintenance on all assigned equipment, ensuring that systems are functioning properly and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with project engineers and managers to deliver quality technical solutions.
  • Prepare detailed service reports for every job completed, including work done, problems identified, and recommendations.
  • Train and assist clients on the proper use and maintenance of systems.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company products and technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies and standards on-site.
  • Provide emergency repair services when necessary, including after-hours support.
  • Perform routine inspections and calibration of equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully functional service vehicle with necessary tools and parts.
  • Assist with logistics related to service visits, ensuring timely arrival and proper documentation.
  • Build strong customer relationships by delivering high-quality, professional service.
  • Report any client issues or feedback to upper management for resolution.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications in engineering or a related field is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Field Service Specialist, preferably in the civil engineering or construction sector.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in varying weather conditions.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to client sites and work flexible hours, including occasional weekends and holidays.
