We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Employee Relations Manager to join our team at Sephora. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will play a critical role in ensuring positive and proactive employee relations and driving consistency and fairness across the company.

About the Role

In this role, you will work closely with people leaders and cross-functional business partners to address performance management, employee discipline, involuntary terminations, employee concerns, employee engagement, and workplace accommodations. You will also be responsible for leading 2 direct reports, acting as a neutral escalation point for issues handled by ER Partners or HR, and driving the implementation of employee relations strategies, guidelines, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead 2 direct reports: ERP FSC and ERP DCs
  • Act as a neutral escalation point for issues handled by ER Partners or HR
  • Drive the implementation of employee relations strategies, guidelines, and procedures
  • Foster a proactive Employee Relations approach and create proactive resources (e.g. trainings, employee listening sessions, ER project lead)
  • Enhance existing ER policies and continue to build up the ER function
  • Conduct and lead escalated investigations and guide direct reports through their own investigations
  • Travel as needed to support assigned areas (estimated at 15-20% travel)
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations, in collaboration with the Senior Director of Employee Relations and Employee Experience, and internal employment counsel
Requirements
  • 5-7 years' Employee Relations and HR experience; minimum 4 years direct ER Partner experience; prior retail experience preferred
  • Exemplary issue resolution skills with the ability to effectively communicate across executive leadership
  • Ability to act as an impartial factfinder and serve as a neutral bridge between the company and employees
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and flex and adjust in a fast-paced, fluid environment
  • Highly collaborative style and willingness and demonstrated ability to work in teams
  • Ability to build strong partnerships
  • Ability to coach and develop others
  • Labor relations experience required
