Position Overview

Making A Difference Foundation (MADF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals by addressing fundamental human needs such as food, housing, and opportunity. Our focus is on empowering those who have faced challenges, particularly individuals transitioning from the correctional system.

Role Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Program Coordinator to oversee the daily operations of our workforce training and re-entry initiative. This program not only supports formerly incarcerated adults but also engages at-risk youth, providing them with valuable skills and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities
As a Program Coordinator, you will:

  • Organize and manage the logistics of the re-entry program.
  • Utilize strong communication and customer service skills to foster relationships with participants and stakeholders.
  • Implement supply management practices to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain accurate records and utilize logistics software effectively.
  • Support participants in their journey towards self-sufficiency and skill development.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in management or a related field; a Master’s degree is advantageous.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and communication abilities.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with project management software.
  • Extensive knowledge of Excel and performance evaluation principles.
  • Experience in program management or logistics coordination.
  • The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Personal experience related to the criminal justice system is a plus.
