Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Technician Lead to join our team at Discovery Mood & Anxiety Program. As a key member of our treatment team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and success of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Patient Support: Provide guidance and support to patients throughout their treatment experience, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Milieu Management: Oversee the daily activities and routines of patients, maintaining a structured and therapeutic environment.
  • Group Facilitation: Lead and facilitate therapeutic groups, including coping skills, relapse prevention, and psychoeducation, to promote patient engagement and progress.
  • Training and Development: Train and mentor new staff members, ensuring they are equipped to provide high-quality care and support.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Accurately document patient behaviors, progress, and concerns, providing valuable insights for treatment planning and decision-making.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the treatment team, including therapists, nurses, and other support staff, to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's degree in a related field or Bachelor's degree with relevant experience.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience working in mental health or a related field, with a strong background in patient support and care.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certifications: Current driver's license and ability to maintain a clean driving record.
