Position Overview

The Student Recruitment Specialist will report to the Senior Associate Director of Recruitment and collaborate closely with the Travel and Events Manager. In partnership with a dedicated team of directors and counselors, this role involves the planning, execution, and management of initiatives aimed at attracting and enrolling students in undergraduate programs.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Extensive travel for recruitment purposes and management of designated travel areas (including evening, weekend, and extended overnight trips)
  • Delivering recruitment presentations at high schools, community centers, and participating in college fairs nationwide
  • Assisting in the organization and implementation of admissions and university-related events and programs
  • Acting as a representative for the institution to prospective students and their families
  • Providing guidance to potential first-year and transfer students regarding admissions processes, policies, and options
  • Participating in the evaluation of applications for admission both independently and as part of a committee

This role requires occasional evening and weekend work (approximately once a month) and out-of-town travel (up to five full or partial weeks each fall and three partial weeks each spring).

Required Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree and experience in admissions, with education and experience equivalent to a graduate-level degree; experience working with diverse populations; strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities; excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills for both individuals and large groups; proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software.
