About the Role
The Office of Undergraduate Admissions at Virginia Tech is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate Director of Recruitment to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing innovative recruitment strategies to attract and retain a diverse and talented student population.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of admissions counselors and directors, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful execution of recruitment initiatives.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive recruitment strategy, including student search and territory management, to support university goals.
- Provide oversight and additional context as needed to transfer and international recruitment efforts.
- Serve as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to key decision-making and strategic planning.
- Collaborate with the Travel and Events Manager to create an annual territory management strategy, utilizing historical application data to inform travel and events.
- Coordinate and conduct analysis for program assessment, policy assessment, and yield management.
- Develop and maintain close working relationships with key secondary school contacts within an assigned territory.
- Assist with short and long-term strategic planning and implementation of recruitment programs and activities.
Requirements
- Master's degree
- Several years of service in the college admissions field
- Strong communication and supervisory skills
- Experience working with diverse populations and a demonstrated commitment to increasing underrepresented student enrollment
- A demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
