Position Overview:

In the role of Team Lead - Architecture, you will spearhead our technical vision, directing the architecture and design of intricate web applications and systems. You will work in close collaboration with product managers, engineers, and various stakeholders to ensure our solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with the overarching business objectives of Prana Tree. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the technical trajectory of projects, mentoring a group of developers, and ensuring compliance with best practices in software architecture.

This role will initially be remote, with potential requirements for occasional onsite participation for team-building activities and strategic planning sessions. The position is contract-to-hire, offering a pathway to transition into a full-time role based on performance and mutual agreement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architectural Direction: Establish, develop, and convey the architectural vision for projects, ensuring scalability, security, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Team Development: Lead and mentor a team of developers, promoting a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and high performance.
  • Technical Management: Supervise the entire development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and best practices.
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
  • Code Excellence: Guarantee high-quality code through code reviews, automated testing, and adherence to coding standards.
  • Innovation: Stay informed about the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies, integrating them into the architectural vision as appropriate.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and architectural challenges early in the development process and formulate strategies to mitigate them.
  • Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive architecture documentation, ensuring accessibility for all stakeholders.
  • Performance Enhancement: Ensure that all applications and systems are optimized for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives for continuous improvement across the development team, focusing on processes, tools, and reduction of technical debt.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline. A Master's degree or equivalent experience is highly preferred.
  • Professional Experience: At least 12 years of experience in software development, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity focusing on software architecture.

Technical Proficiencies:

  • Strong experience in both front-end and back-end development technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular, .NET, Java, Python, and others.
  • Extensive experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and third-party integrations.
  • Proficiency with databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and version control (Git).
  • Architectural Knowledge: Deep understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices. Experience with microservices, SOA, and cloud-native architectures.
  • Leadership Abilities: Proven capability to lead, mentor, and inspire a team of developers. Strong decision-making skills and the ability to drive projects to successful completion.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to think strategically.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business needs.
