Position Overview:

Our dynamic client is seeking a Senior Java Solutions Architect to lead their software development initiatives. This role offers a hybrid work model, requiring in-office presence one day a week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical direction and mentorship to development teams.
  • Oversee technical support efforts to resolve application and platform challenges.
  • Ensure software solutions align with organizational objectives, meeting performance standards while delivering intuitive user experiences.
  • Develop solutions by analyzing information requirements, identifying problem areas, and adhering to the software development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including business analysts and project managers, to translate business goals into technical specifications that prioritize scalability, performance, and security.
  • Create technical designs for software applications, incorporating architectural patterns, frameworks, data models, and system integrations.
  • Define architectural strategies and development roadmaps that align with the organization's business objectives and technology vision.
  • Recommend appropriate technologies and tools based on application requirements, considering performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Integrate security protocols into application architecture, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct security assessments and propose enhancements to improve cybersecurity measures.
  • Translate UI and UX specifications into coding implementations.
  • Test applications to guarantee optimal performance and evaluate new technologies for project applicability.
  • Ensure seamless integration of applications with backend tools, such as cloud storage and APIs.
  • Create prototypes and wireframes to gather team feedback and refine designs.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for application architecture, including design documents and technical specifications.
  • Establish coding standards and best practices to ensure consistency across the application codebase.
  • Review code and architectural decisions for compliance with established standards.
  • Identify and address performance bottlenecks within the application architecture.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities to continuously improve application architecture.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in software development, focusing on architecture and system design.
  • 5+ years of experience with Spring Boot for building and supporting modern Java-based enterprise applications and microservices.
  • 3+ years of experience with Spring Security, particularly in authentication and authorization practices.
  • Experience in developing critical business applications, preferably in the Property & Casualty Insurance sector, is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Object-Oriented Programming languages such as Java and Python.
  • Extensive knowledge of the JSON Object Structure.
  • Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular, or Bootstrap.
  • In-depth experience with Azure CosmosDB NoSQL database engine.
  • Experience with containerized Java microservices in Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS).
  • Knowledge of API management using Azure API Management (APIM).
  • Proficient in CI/CD practices and deployment strategies using GIT and Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
  • Familiarity with automated unit testing and test-driven development methodologies.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity best practices.

Education:
