The Role

We are in search of a meticulous and dedicated Payroll Operations Leader. In this position, you will be responsible for the precise and timely management of our multi-state, bi-weekly payroll. You will collaborate closely with Human Resources and Accounting to facilitate benefits processing, month-end closing, and uphold internal controls.

Your Contributions
  • Bi-Weekly Payroll Management: Guarantee accurate and timely processing of our bi-weekly payroll, including system audits and controls.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Best Practices Implementation: Analyze, interpret, and apply best practices for payroll operations.
  • Project Oversight: Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing payroll processes, including ADP Workforce Manager workflows.
  • Collaborative Efforts: Partner with Human Resources and IT departments to improve ADP Workforce Now automation and payroll data transfers.
  • Issue Resolution: Independently address complex payroll challenges and respond to inquiries.
  • Discrepancy Management: Identify, analyze, and rectify payroll discrepancies.
  • Employee Transitions: Collaborate with Human Resources on payroll-related tasks for onboarding, employee changes, and terminations.
  • Strategic Contributions: Provide insights for payroll-related projects and assist in process optimization and ADP system functionality.
  • Documentation Maintenance: Develop, document, and uphold internal payroll processing procedures and policies.
  • Reconciliation Oversight: Manage quarter-end and year-end reconciliation, including the annual W-2 process and year-end closing.
  • Third-Party Payments: Administer all third-party payroll payments, including garnishments and other deductions.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Undertake other tasks as assigned.
Candidate Profile
  • Experience:
    • Over 10 years of experience managing multi-state, high-volume payroll.
    • At least 5 years of experience with ADP payroll processing, particularly with ADP Payroll and ADP Workforce Manager.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Skills:
    • Exceptional organizational abilities and keen attention to detail.
    • Proficient in computer skills, including the MS Office suite.
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
    • High level of discretion regarding sensitive and confidential information.
    • Critical thinking capabilities and a knack for implementing new practices.
  • Other Qualifications: Ability to work autonomously, prioritize effectively, and meet tight deadlines. Must successfully complete all pre-employment screenings/activities.
