Job Overview

Wilcox Industries is seeking a dedicated Human Resources Coordinator to enhance our HR operations and support our commitment to excellence in serving homeland defense and armed services. This full-time position operates on a standard Monday through Friday schedule, with hours from 8 AM to 5 PM. The HR Coordinator is integral to the HR department, engaging in a variety of essential functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Payroll Management: Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and reporting.
  • Audit Compliance: Conduct audits of payroll and benefits processes, recommending necessary corrective actions.
  • Benefits Administration: Oversee health and welfare plans, managing enrollments, changes, and terminations while acting as a liaison between employees and insurance providers.
  • Issue Resolution: Address and resolve benefits-related inquiries to ensure timely enrollment.
  • Documentation Processing: Manage necessary documentation for payroll and insurance providers to maintain accurate records.
  • Onboarding: Facilitate new hire orientations, including verification of Form I-9 and background checks.
  • Recruitment Support: Assist in developing effective recruitment strategies to attract a diverse talent pool, track candidate status, conduct interviews, and perform reference checks.
  • Legal Compliance: Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
  • Job Fairs: Participate in recruiting events to promote the organization.
  • Performance Management: Assist in preparing and tracking employee performance reviews.
  • Administrative Duties: Perform various administrative tasks, including filing, photocopying, and document management.
  • Additional Duties: Carry out other responsibilities as directed to support organizational needs.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, along with 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong commitment to confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication (both verbal and written), and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Aptitude for identifying issues and proposing effective solutions.
  • Presentation and public speaking skills are advantageous.
  • Familiarity with ADP or other HRIS systems is a plus.
  • Knowledge of payroll and benefits processing is preferred.
  • Efficient management of paperwork and record-keeping processes.
  • Ability to address and resolve employee concerns effectively.
  • Understanding of relevant labor laws and compliance standards.
  • Attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy are essential.
  • Regular on-site attendance is required for this role.
  • Willingness to work overtime as necessary.
  • As a U.S. government defense contractor, this position requires access to export-controlled technology; candidates must be legally authorized to access U.S. government-controlled technology prior to employment.
