Position Type: full-time, in-person, minimum 40 hours/week

Reports to: Director of Safety and Site Operations

Overview

The Site Operations Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all on-site activities for projects managed by First Companies, ensuring each project is completed on time and meets quality standards. This role leads the site personnel and plays a crucial part in their professional growth through mentorship and continuous feedback. The Project Manager maintains a strong presence on-site with regular visits, aiding staff in resolving challenges to boost productivity and operational efficiency. Additionally, this position ensures compliance with First Companies' health and safety protocols and implements quality control measures across all job sites.

Key Responsibilities

· Provide guidance, support, and resources to site personnel through regular site visits and ongoing mentorship.

· Collaborate with the Vice President of Construction Management to evaluate current and future staffing needs, aligning personnel with project timelines and forecasting additional resource requirements.

· Establish and enforce quality assurance protocols for site staff concerning health and safety, cleanliness, efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to First Companies' quality benchmarks.

· Assist project teams in addressing issues with subcontractors related to scheduling, labor, and material shortages.

· Mentor site personnel to ensure compliance with project quality standards and facilitate issue resolution.

· In partnership with the Director of Safety and Site Operations, review safety plans for each project to guarantee a secure working environment for all employees and visitors.

· Analyze project incident reports, collaborating with the Director of Safety to investigate causes and implement corrective measures to uphold safety standards.

· Ensure all project sites display necessary signage, including health and safety policies, inspection results, and hazard assessments.

· Demonstrate a commitment to a safe work environment by adhering to safety policies.

· Review weekly site reports to maintain a comprehensive understanding of site conditions, labor issues, and project progress.

· Maintain weekly site report cards for all projects, storing them in Procore and submitting them to the Director of Safety and Site Operations and the Vice President of Construction Management.

· Approve site logistics plans to ensure cleanliness and organization on job sites.

· Support the implementation of project punch-lists, ensuring timely completion in line with First Companies' quality standards.

· Guide site personnel in following First Companies' Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring proper training and execution of processes.

· Proactively identify potential safety or construction issues and communicate them to the relevant parties.

· Ensure all subcontractors have provided necessary OSHA certifications and documentation before commencing work.

· Foster positive relationships with trade partners.

· Assist the Director of Safety and Site Operations with additional tasks as required.

Required Skills

● Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiar with Procore, Microsoft Project, or similar construction management software.

● Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field, or a minimum of 10-15 years of experience in commercial construction.

Physical Requirements:

Occasional periods of desk work and computer use.

Ability to navigate and inspect all areas of the job site in various weather conditions, including walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Must possess a valid driver's license.

Travel may be required.

Exposure to typical construction site hazards.
