As a vital member of the Great Lakes Coca-Cola team, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient delivery of our products. This position requires a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work Schedule: Full Time, Monday to Friday, with early morning start times.
- Compensation: Competitive weekly pay of $1,200, plus additional component pay.
- Benefits: Comprehensive union benefits including medical, dental, vision, retirement plans, and vacation time.
Core Duties Include:
- Safely operate commercial vehicles in a professional manner.
- Utilize powered industrial trucks and material handling equipment effectively.
- Navigate delivery routes in congested areas while ensuring safety.
- Unload and deliver products using various methods in diverse temperature settings.
- Provide outstanding customer service to clients and store staff.
- Accurately complete delivery and pick-up documentation.
- Collect returned products and company assets as necessary.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicles.
- Engage in company training and maintain required certifications.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Assist with additional projects or tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Minimum age of 21 years.
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- At least one year of commercial driving experience or equivalent military driving experience.
- Maintain a clean driving record in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Ability to lift weights ranging from 25 lbs. to 50 lbs. regularly.
- Successful completion of a post-offer background check, DOT physical, and drug screening.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent educational background.
- Experience in customer service roles.
- Familiarity with handheld ordering devices and multi-temperature environments.
- Background in stocking, product handling, local delivery, or unloading.
- Experience in foodservice distribution, grocery, or beverage delivery sectors.
