Position Overview
  • The Client Relationship Specialist, also known as Branch Counselor, plays a vital role in our branch operations, collaborating with team members to ensure exceptional service delivery.
  • This position is essential for the branch's success, engaging in both service and sales functions, which may include addressing member inquiries, promoting self-service options, and executing standard transactions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assistance to Farmers Credit Union members by leveraging knowledge of our products and services.
  • Conduct daily transactions for members, including deposits, withdrawals, and transfers.
  • Respond to member inquiries and furnish information in line with Credit Union policies regarding account statements, stop payments, fraud claims, and other deposit-related requests.
  • Guide members through the loan process, gathering necessary documentation, running credit checks, and determining loan rates.
  • Ensure accurate balancing of cash drawers, branch vaults, ATMs, and daily transactions, including encoding and proofing checks.
  • Take ownership of member issues, ensuring they are resolved at the first point of contact.
  • Utilize strong service skills to cultivate and enhance financial relationships with members, ensuring every interaction is engaging and informative.
  • Maintain a high level of service commitment, striving to boost member satisfaction and achieve positive results in service surveys.
  • Adhere to branch service standards while embodying our mission and core values.
  • May assist with online inquiries through chat support.
  • Achieve individual sales targets and contribute to branch sales goals by managing an assigned member base and identifying additional financial needs.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to expand memberships and consumer loan growth through outreach and referrals.
  • Conduct presentations to potential members to generate business opportunities.
  • Offer suggestions to enhance the Credit Union's visibility within the community.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience
  • A minimum of one year of experience in customer service, sales, and cash handling, preferably within a financial institution.
Physical Requirements
  • This role may involve typical office distractions and requires sitting or standing for extended periods.
  • Occasional overhead reaching, bending, and lifting of light objects may be necessary.
  • Ability to operate a computer for prolonged periods is essential.
