Overview
The Site Operations Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all on-site activities for projects managed by First Companies, ensuring that each project is completed efficiently and on schedule. This role involves leading the site team and providing mentorship to enhance their professional growth. The Site Operations Project Manager maintains a strong presence on-site with regular visits and assists the team in resolving challenges to boost productivity and operational success. This position is also accountable for upholding First Companies' health and safety protocols across all project sites while implementing and enforcing quality control measures.
Key Responsibilities
· Offer guidance, support, and resources to site personnel through consistent site visits and ongoing mentorship.
· Collaborate with the Vice President of Construction Management to evaluate current and future workload demands, ensuring alignment of personnel resources with project timelines and anticipating future staffing needs.
· Establish and enforce quality assurance and control measures for site staff, focusing on health and safety, cleanliness, efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to First Companies' quality standards.
· Assist project teams in addressing issues with subcontractors related to scheduling, labor availability, and material procurement.
· Mentor site staff to ensure compliance with project quality standards and provide support in resolving challenges.
· Work with the Director of Safety and Site Operations to review safety plans for each project, ensuring a secure work environment for all personnel and visitors.
· Analyze project incident reports in collaboration with the Director of Safety to identify causes and implement corrective measures for safety compliance.
· Ensure all project sites display necessary signage, including health and safety policies, inspection results, hazard assessments, and first aid locations.
· Demonstrate a commitment to a safe work environment by modeling adherence to safety policies.
· Review weekly site reports to maintain an understanding of field conditions, labor issues, project progress, and incident reports.
· Maintain weekly performance reports for all project sites, storing them in Procore and submitting them to the Director of Safety and Site Operations and the Vice President of Construction Management.
· Evaluate and approve site logistics plans to ensure cleanliness and organization on job sites.
· Support the implementation of project punch-lists, ensuring site staff manage these lists according to First Companies' quality expectations and complete them promptly.
· Review and assist site staff with First Companies' Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring proper training and execution of processes.
· Proactively identify potential safety or construction issues that may arise on-site and communicate them to the site staff and relevant management.
· Ensure all subcontractors provide necessary OSHA certifications and documentation before starting work, in coordination with the Director of Safety and Site Operations.
· Foster positive relationships with trade partners.
· Assist the Director of Safety and Site Operations with additional tasks as required.
Required Skills

● Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiar with Procore, Microsoft Project, or similar construction management software.

● Capable of multitasking, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines.
● Skilled in conflict resolution and problem-solving.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field, or a minimum of 10-15 years of experience in commercial construction.
Physical Requirements:
Occasional desk work and computer use.
Ability to navigate and inspect all areas of a job site in various weather conditions, including walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Valid driver's license required.
Travel may be necessary.
Exposure to typical construction site hazards.
