Job Overview
Organization Profile- A national non-profit organization dedicated to fostering initiatives aimed at enhancing social mobility for individuals and families facing challenges, as well as for communities.

Position Summary- The Chief Executive Officer is tasked with steering the strategic vision, expanding programs, generating revenue, managing external relations, and addressing crises for the newly established branch office of this national non-profit. This role will be pivotal in spearheading the acclaimed Every Child initiative, focused on foster care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with the Chief Operating Officer and the Executive Director of National Expansion to provide unified leadership for the Every Child Indiana foster care initiative.
  • Concentrate on establishing the Indy Metro Branch towards sustainability over a three-year period, with initial funding from the corporate non-profit decreasing gradually.
  • Engage in the search for new office space and oversee the hiring of staff based on identified needs; manage the team effectively.
  • Support the Every Child Indiana Network organization, implement the Air Game in Indiana, and devise strategies to enhance foster family recruitment, resource availability, and community engagement.
  • Partner with the corporate CEO to cultivate political support for Every Child Indiana with relevant state agencies and legislative bodies.
  • Collaborate with the corporate marketing and communications team to craft and execute a robust communication and engagement strategy.
  • Foster partnerships with leaders from diverse communities throughout Indiana.
  • Lead cooperative efforts with non-profit organizations involved in child welfare across the state.
  • Develop initiatives to mobilize faith-based communities to engage with the Department of Child Services.
  • Drive the growth and ongoing expansion of Indiana's donor base, ensuring sustained support from a variety of revenue sources, including fundraising events, private donations, grants, and business partnerships, aiming for an annual budget of $1 million by the end of 2025.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in a leadership role within education, non-profit, or related sectors.
  • At least five years of experience in launching, developing, and sustaining programs, businesses, or organizations.
  • Proven ability to provide strategic oversight for significant events.
  • Results-driven with a successful track record in fundraising and improving the organization's fundraising framework.
  • A proactive approach with a willingness to engage in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with limited administrative support.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Cultural and emotional intelligence with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Familiarity with donor databases, program management, and grant procurement processes.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and motivating staff teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with project management software like Asana is a plus.
  • Starting salary ranges from $70,000 to $100,000 based on experience, with a highly competitive benefits package.
