Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Systems Administrator to join our team at Hearn Industrial Services in Canton, MI. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for our network infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operation of our business applications and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Network Administration: Provide support for operating systems, business applications, security tools, servers, wireless networks, and local and wide area networks.
  • Hardware and Software Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain network hardware, software, and peripheral devices as directed.
  • Application Support: Upgrade, maintain, monitor, and support third-party applications as directed, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Network Monitoring: Monitor and report on network usage, availability, and efficiency.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and implement processes and procedures to improve efficiencies and IT service levels.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely resolutions.
  • Training and Development: Create and lead training sessions, and develop documents to assist staff and the public in the use of technology and equipment.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers, promoting a positive impression of Hearn Industrial Services in all interactions.
Requirements:
  • Education: Completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in network administration, with a strong background in Windows environments.
  • Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in business productivity software (Office 365), customer service skills, and the ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical customers.
