Overview:

In this role, you will leverage your expertise and our advanced proprietary tools to oversee client environments, assess, and address security incidents. You will act as a crucial line of defense, offering exceptional security advice on both current and emerging cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the upkeep, troubleshooting, and updating of cyber security monitoring systems, including Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools.
  • Analyze Security Controls Analysis documentation as part of the Cyber Security Assessment Team (CSAT).
  • Engage in activities with our Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT).
  • Evaluate Critical Digital Assets (CDAs) for security vulnerabilities and ensure adherence to the Cyber Security Plan.
  • Conduct scans for unauthorized wireless access points throughout the organization and monitor CDAs for unauthorized connections.
  • Implement hardening procedures for Windows and Linux workstations and servers.
  • Review industry best practices for cyber security and apply relevant principles to critical systems and assets.
  • Identify weaknesses in cyber security measures and propose technical or administrative solutions to address these issues.
  • Examine Change Management Records and Design Change Packages for compliance with cyber security standards.
  • Review cyber security policies, standards, and procedures to support programmatic requirements aligned with our Cyber Security Plan.
  • Conduct regular scans and maintenance of removable media enrolled in the Portable Media Device program.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as a Cyber Security Analyst.
  • Preferred Experience: Familiarity with network switches, firewalls, network security devices, Active Directory, cyber forensics, and general cyber security practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and collaboration tools.
  • Experience with Security Information and Event Monitoring (SIEM) systems, including alert management and event dispositioning.
  • Knowledge of File Integrity Management (FIM) systems, including client management and report generation.
  • Experience in network design and security, system hardening, and managing Windows or Linux security operating systems.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, effectively communicate with team members or clients, and make informed decisions.
  • Understanding of cyber security principles and defense-in-depth strategies.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies, anti-malware solutions, and backup/recovery software.
  • Knowledge of cyber security controls analysis and access control systems.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and implementation of cyber security best practices to meet regulatory compliance objectives.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas and recommendations clearly in group settings.
  • Certifications: Security+, Network+, GSEC, CISSP, or similar certifications; completion of SANS 401 and 504 is a plus.
