The Veterinary Receptionist is a key member of our team, responsible for providing exceptional client service and creating a positive experience for our clients and their pets. This role requires a friendly and approachable demeanor, with a focus on delivering top-notch customer service and support.
Responsibilities- Client Communication: Greet clients and pets by name, answer phone calls promptly and professionally, and respond to client inquiries about animal care and veterinary services.
- Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule appointments and surgeries, make confirmation calls, and ensure accurate client information is recorded.
- Financial Transactions: Collect payment, process credit card transactions, and verify client eligibility for charge accounts.
- Administrative Support: Maintain accurate medical records, scan documents, and provide routine administration instructions to clients.
- Retail Sales: Advise clients on veterinary products and services, including flea and tick preventatives, heartworm preventatives, and dental care products.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with clients, staff, and veterinarians.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency in using computer systems, including medical records and communication tools.
- Veterinary Terminology: Working knowledge of veterinary terminology, including pronunciation, spelling, and meaning.
- Client Service Focus: Ability to provide exceptional client service, even in high-pressure situations.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with veterinarians, technicians, and other staff members to provide seamless client care.
