Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Patient Access Representative to join our team at Jefferson Health. As a key member of our registration team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient service, ensuring accurate and timely registration, and maintaining a high level of productivity in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and visitors, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Accurately and efficiently register patients, obtaining and verifying demographic, insurance, and eligibility information.
  • Collect and process patient payments, including co-pays, co-insurance, and deductibles.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff, interpreters, and other ancillary areas to ensure seamless patient flow and efficient registration processes.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred.
  • Previous customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Proficient in the use of computers and medical terminology.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
