Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Patient Access Representative to join our team at Jefferson Health. As a key member of our registration team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient service, ensuring accurate and timely registration, and maintaining a high level of productivity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional and courteous service to patients, families, and visitors
  • Accurately and efficiently register patients, including obtaining demographic and insurance information
  • Verify patient eligibility and benefits, and obtain necessary authorizations
  • Collect and process payments, including co-pays and deductibles
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Collaborate with clinical staff and other departments to ensure seamless patient flow
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred
  • Previous customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Proficient in the use of computers and medical terminology
