Adjunct Professor of History

Laramie County Community College is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Instructor to teach History courses. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, assessing student learning, and contributing to the development of the History program.
Responsibilities- Teach assigned History courses, including lectures, discussions, and other instructional activities.
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans, assessments, and evaluations to ensure student learning outcomes.
- Provide individualized support and guidance to students, including office hours, email, and online communication.
- Stay current with developments in the field of History and incorporate relevant topics and materials into course instruction.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum, assessments, and other program initiatives.
- Participate in departmental and college-wide meetings, committees, and other activities as assigned.
- Masters degree from a regionally accredited institution in History or American Studies or Master in Political Science and 18 graduate credits in History or a closely related field of study.
- One year of teaching experience in higher education preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Commitment to student-centered learning and academic excellence.
The Adjunct Instructor will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a diverse student population. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment, adapt to changing priorities and deadlines, and maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information.
