Custodial Cash Management Associate

Position Overview
The Custodial Cash Management Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring the precise and timely processing of payments received through various lockboxes. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of the intricacies involved in loan payment processing and the protocols necessary for managing funds at eligible depositories.

Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate the receipt, disbursement, and reconciliation of borrower funds designated for loan servicing, ensuring compliance with agency standards.
- Manage cash management accounts and execute fund processing in alignment with established cash management agreements.
- Reconcile hard lockbox accounts and allocate any surplus cash flow to the Borrower.
- Support daily banking operations, including wire transfers, ACH transactions, and remote check deposits.
- Ensure adherence to all investor requirements and internal policies throughout job functions.

Compliance and Documentation
- Maintain strict compliance with regulatory, investor, and internal requirements governing the application of mortgage funds.
- Prepare necessary documentation for regulatory audits, including RegAB and SOX compliance.

Customer Service and Communication
- Exhibit exceptional customer service skills by reviewing, prioritizing, and responding promptly to tasks and inquiries.
- Collaborate professionally with team members and other stakeholders.

Training and Development
- Ensure that all technical and interpersonal training needs are addressed in a timely manner.

Collaboration and Interaction
This role involves frequent interaction with employees at all levels, as well as engagement with external business partners, vendors, and consultants.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business is preferred.
- Familiarity with large-scale servicing systems such as McCracken Strategy is advantageous.
- Experience in mortgage servicing platforms is a plus.
- Proven cash handling or accounting experience in a high-volume environment.
- Strong numerical accuracy and cash balancing skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software applications.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in daily operations.
- Flexibility to work under pressure with shifting priorities and tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with colleagues, clients, and external parties.
