About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Freight Flow and Merchandising Manager to join our team at World Market Inc. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the logistics and visual merchandising processes to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Logistics and Visual Merchandising
    • Manage overall store logistics processes to support company initiatives and productivity goals.
    • Utilize company tools and training resources to ensure team follows logistic processes, visual execution standards, and stocking routines.
    • Manage visual publication calendar and delivery schedule to plan and execute all logistics workload; partner with Assistant Manager of Operations or Assistant Store Manager to schedule for workload.
    • Maintain and manage stockroom standards and organization that supports efficiency and safety standards.
    • Utilize company tools and training resources to educate team on merchandising standards and visual presentation skills; validate replenishment and recovery routines.
    • Manage publication calendar and delivery schedule to plan for and validate visual workload effectively; partner with leadership team to effectively schedule all workload.
    • Responsible for organizing, planning, and executing all signage and graphics in partnership with entire management team.
    • Validate and maintain all inventory management and data integrity routines.
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Lead and manage a high-performance team that aligns with company values through training, recognition, and performance management.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve team performance and customer satisfaction.
    • Collaborate with Store Manager to model and lead a customer-first selling culture through effective routines, visual brand standards, and engagement behaviors.
  • Business Analysis and Problem-Solving
    • Analyze business trends and utilize reporting to problem-solve business opportunities and take appropriate action.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve business performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with team members, Store Manager, and leadership team to ensure seamless execution of logistics and visual merchandising processes.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
    Requirements
    • Minimum of 2+ years of relevant leadership experience in a fast-paced specialty retail selling culture.
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, depending upon the needs of the business.
    • Minimum Age 21 years.
    • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
