Job Summary:

The Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services seeks a skilled Peoplesoft Developer to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, coding, and modifying complex computer programs, subroutines, triggers, stored procedures, objects, classes, and scripts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, code, and modify complex computer programs, subroutines, triggers, stored procedures, objects, classes, and scripts.
  • Perform necessary testing of assigned programs, including the generation of test data, writing test scripts/execution sequences, examining test results, debugging detected errors, etc.
  • Provide customer service, coordination, and communications in a complex HHSC organization.
  • Oversee trainers, technical support staff, network specialists, and contract staff to perform modifications and updates to existing systems or to implement new systems.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve production problems.
  • Develop current software development methods/techniques and establish development standards to ensure the quality and maintainability of applications.
  • Oversee code reviews to ensure compliance with development standards and system/business requirements.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials data elements and table structures.
  • Knowledge in SQL, PeopleSoft Query, PeopleSoft Trees and configurations, nVision; with preferred knowledge in BI Publisher, Unix/Linux, and Windows.
  • Knowledge in migration of objects/projects to production.
  • Knowledge and understanding of writing and testing code.
  • Knowledge of information technology standards, practices, and project lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of governmental accounting rules, processes, and requirements.
  • Knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques of computer programming, and systems analysis.
