Jefferies Global Healthcare Group offers a comprehensive range of advisory and capital market services to clients across various sectors, including healthcare services, biotechnology, medical technology, diagnostics, healthcare technology, and pharmaceuticals. The Healthcare Group is comprised of a dedicated team of over 120 bankers focused on delivering exceptional services to clients in these industries across North and South America, Europe, and Asia.
ROLE SUMMARY:
The Global Healthcare Group is seeking an Investment Banking Associate to support the Life Sciences team, which encompasses Biotechnology, Pharmaceuticals, Medical Technology, and Diagnostics.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Engage in the execution of equity and debt financing, mergers and acquisitions, as well as restructuring and recapitalization transactions.
- Conduct financial evaluations, including discounted cash flow, leveraged buyout, pro forma merger, precedent transaction, and comparable company analyses.
- Develop pitch books and live deal documentation, such as offering memoranda, confidential information memoranda, management presentations, lender presentations, and prospectuses.
- Analyze intricate corporate and financial data, while performing due diligence.
- Create financial operating models and valuation frameworks.
- Conduct thorough industry and product research.
These responsibilities facilitate direct and active engagement with senior executive management teams of our clients. Associates are expected to participate in client meetings and contribute to the development and maintenance of client relationships. You will manage multiple projects concurrently with teams of professionals, both within the group and across the firm, collaborating with product partners such as bankers in Equity Capital Markets, Leveraged Finance, Private Capital Advisory, and Restructuring teams to devise and implement solutions tailored to client needs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Current residency in New York or willingness to relocate.
- A minimum of 3 years of investment banking experience, preferably in a Healthcare (Life Sciences) coverage or within a M&A product team.
- Detail-oriented with outstanding critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle a variety of transactions and projects simultaneously.
- Resourceful self-starter; capable of working independently as well as collaboratively.
- Excellent interpersonal abilities.
- Strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills.
The compensation package will reflect the individual's experience and qualifications.
