The firm is involved in a diverse array of activities within the financial services sector, including retail securities brokerage, institutional sales and trading, investment banking (covering both corporate and public finance), equity and fixed income research, market making, trust services, as well as investment advisory and asset management.
Position Summary:
The Healthcare Life Sciences division is currently seeking a skilled Associate or VP/Director for our New York office. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with senior members of the Healthcare Group to conduct valuations, perform analyses, and engage in due diligence and drafting sessions for public offerings. Furthermore, the individual will be tasked with structuring and executing transactions, often serving as a key liaison for significant clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily transaction execution under the guidance of Managing Directors.
- Lead the preparation of pitch materials and transaction marketing documents.
- Originate and execute transactions, including Initial Public Offerings, Follow-on Public Offerings, CMPOs, RDs, PIPEs, and Private Placements.
- Manage buyer interactions and transaction due diligence processes.
- Review and supervise the development of financial models, valuation analyses, and research.
- Coordinate with both internal and external stakeholders (including corporate issuers, financial sponsors, legal advisors, etc.) to enhance corporate relationships and facilitate the daily deal process.
- Support new business development and marketing initiatives as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree is required.
- Sales-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skills to engage with clients and lead team members.
- Proven ability in quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor, both verbal and written.
- Meticulous attention to detail and consistency in deliverables.
- High level of maturity, integrity, demonstrated leadership capabilities, and a strong work ethic.
- Self-motivated team player who thrives in a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and challenging work environment.
- FINRA Registrations: SIE, 79, 63 are required at the time of hiring or shortly thereafter.
Compensation Information:
In compliance with New York City regulations, Oppenheimer is obligated to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this position. This salary range is specific to New York City and considers various factors in determining salary, including skills, qualifications, experience, licensure, certifications, and other organizational needs. The estimated base salary range is $150,000 to $200,000. Additionally, certain roles may qualify for other forms of compensation, such as discretionary bonuses.
