We are in search of a committed

Registered Nurse

to join our Lubbock Heart team.

Key Responsibilities:
Engage directly with patients to gather information for medical records, clarify procedures, alleviate concerns, and encourage cooperation.

Adhere to established protocols for maintaining accurate patient identification and record appropriate collection information.

Communicate results to patients in accordance with physician directives.
Input data into the electronic medical record system as per established guidelines.
Process and manage prescriptions as directed by the physician.
Take phone messages and provide responses to patient/physician/pharmacy inquiries, documenting them in the EMR appropriately.
Deliver instructions to patients as directed by the physician.
Coordinate new and follow-up appointments based on established procedures.
Conduct vital signs assessments and EKGs.
Assist in the clinic as required.
Document all communications in the EMR.
Complete lab requisitions and other forms as instructed by the physician.
Support ancillary departments as assigned.
Perform miscellaneous job-related tasks as needed.
Comply with OSHA safety and health regulations.
Utilize office equipment including computers, copiers, scanners, and fax machines.
Draw blood for laboratory tests.
Transport patients as necessary.

Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program or Board Eligible Graduate Nurse.
Current licensure in the state of Texas.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
BCLS and ACLS certifications required.
2-5 years of experience in a cardiac care environment.

We are a highly active inpatient facility focused on surgical procedures, including cardiothoracic, orthopedic, urology, and general surgery.

Our facility features a 24-hour Emergency Department with fully equipped rooms, operating rooms, cardiac catheterization labs, and critical care units.
