Job Title: Bilingual Office Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Bilingual Office Administrator to join our team at District of Columbia International School. As a key member of our administrative staff, you will provide exceptional support to our students, families, and community.

Job Summary:

The Bilingual Office Administrator will be responsible for providing a first impression of the school to our students, families, and community by responding to phone calls and general information requests. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Answer telephones and respond to emails in a professional and timely manner
  • Assist with lunch and meal duties as assigned
  • Interact with parents and students in a professional and inviting manner
  • Be proactive about helping the school succeed in daily operations
  • Assist students and staff as necessary
  • Report attendance and input data
  • Embrace French, Spanish, and Chinese cultures by leading and participating in cultural activities for faculty and students
  • Commitment to environmentally sustainable business practices
  • Assist with ACE after-school duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Applicants with an associate's degree or higher are strongly preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English, with strong reading and writing skills in both languages
  • Ability to lift and carry orders and deliveries short distances
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in a school environment is preferred
  • Comfortable in a Mac environment
  • Able to draft and create documents and spreadsheets
  • Experience in Accounts Receivables and Billing
