Overview

As an Infrastructure Administrator at Impulse Space, your primary focus will be on the implementation and enhancement of hyper-converged on-premises and multi-cloud infrastructures. You will take charge of integrating diverse systems, applying necessary security measures based on a zero trust framework, and developing robust monitoring and alerting systems. Your role will be pivotal in swiftly constructing new systems while upholding our existing infrastructure and ensuring adherence to CMMC and ITAR regulations. This position is essential for facilitating our expansion in a dynamic and highly regulated sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and refine cloud and on-premises infrastructure utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.
  • Manage and support integrations among various systems and technologies.
  • Deploy, maintain, and validate backups and disaster recovery strategies in line with the organization's BC/DR framework.
  • Establish and enforce network security protocols aligned with zero trust principles.
  • Oversee and manage privileged access management infrastructure as part of the zero trust initiative.
  • Develop and sustain monitoring and alerting systems, ensuring all systems are effectively monitored with regularly tested alert mechanisms.
  • Investigate and devise innovative solutions to complex and unique business challenges.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalency.
  • 6+ years of proven experience in Cloud Infrastructure: Proficiency in Azure, AWS, and VMware Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) environments, including experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
  • 6+ years of demonstrated experience with monitoring tools like PRTG, Nagios, or similar, with the capability to configure, manage, and validate monitoring and alerting systems.
  • 6+ years of expertise in deploying, maintaining, and testing backups and disaster recovery plans, particularly within Azure, AWS, and VMware environments.
  • Experience with implementing and managing privileged access management (PAM) solutions, such as CyberArk, Thycotic, or similar, as part of a zero trust strategy.
  • Proven ability to manage and support integrations between various systems and technologies.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) and CMMC (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification) compliance requirements.
  • Strong understanding of network security principles, including experience with firewalls, VPNs, and implementing zero trust architectures.
  • Demonstrated experience in a fast-paced environment or comparable start-up.
  • Experience in systems administration within an aerospace organization.
Additional Information:

Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
