Key Responsibilities:
  1. System Deployment and Configuration:
    • Implement and set up Linux servers, both on-premises and in virtual environments.
    • Work alongside diverse teams to architect and execute Linux-based solutions for essential applications.
  2. Automation and Orchestration:
    • Leverage Ansible for automating server provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment.
    • Enhance operational efficiency by streamlining repetitive processes across our infrastructure.
  3. Performance Optimization and Monitoring:
    • Oversee system performance, pinpoint inefficiencies, and fine-tune Linux servers for optimal operation.
    • Deploy monitoring solutions and alerts to proactively manage potential issues.
  4. Security and Compliance:
    • Fortify Linux systems against security vulnerabilities, including conducting assessments and managing patches.
    • Maintain adherence to industry standards and best practices.
  5. Disaster Recovery Planning:
    • Formulate and uphold disaster recovery strategies for vital systems.
    • Conduct tests and validate recovery processes to ensure minimal downtime during crises.
  6. Training and Support:
    • Educate and guide fellow IT staff on Linux management and best practices.
    • Offer technical assistance to resolve Linux-related challenges.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of practical experience as a Linux Engineer or System Administrator.
  • Expertise in Ansible for automation and orchestration tasks.
  • In-depth knowledge of various Linux distributions (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat).
  • Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
