Job Overview

As a Infrastructure Administrator at Impulse Space, your primary focus will be on the implementation and enhancement of hyper-converged environments, both on-premises and across multiple cloud platforms. You will take charge of integrating diverse systems, applying necessary security measures in line with a zero trust framework, and establishing effective monitoring and alerting mechanisms. Your role will be pivotal in swiftly developing new systems while ensuring the integrity of our existing infrastructure and adherence to compliance standards such as CMMC and ITAR.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and optimize cloud and on-premises infrastructure utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.
  • Manage and support the integration of various systems and technologies.
  • Implement, maintain, and test backup solutions and disaster recovery strategies in alignment with the company's business continuity plans.
  • Establish and enforce network security protocols consistent with zero trust principles.
  • Oversee privileged access management systems as part of the zero trust initiative.
  • Create and sustain monitoring and alerting frameworks, ensuring all systems are effectively supervised with regularly validated alerting processes.
  • Investigate and develop innovative solutions to address complex business challenges.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Over 6 years of proven experience in Cloud Infrastructure, demonstrating proficiency in Azure, AWS, and VMware Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI), along with familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
  • More than 6 years of experience with monitoring solutions such as PRTG, Nagios, or similar, including the ability to configure and manage monitoring and alerting systems.
  • At least 6 years of expertise in deploying, maintaining, and testing backup and disaster recovery plans, especially within Azure, AWS, and VMware environments.
  • Experience in implementing and managing privileged access management (PAM) solutions, such as CyberArk or Thycotic, within a zero trust framework.
  • Demonstrated capability to manage and support system integrations across various technologies.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Knowledge of ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) and CMMC (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification) compliance requirements.
  • Strong grasp of network security principles, including experience with firewalls, VPNs, and zero trust architecture implementation.
  • Experience working in a dynamic environment or a comparable start-up setting.
  • Background in systems administration within the aerospace sector.

Compensation structures are determined by role, level, location, and market alignment. Individual compensation and base pay are assessed on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities, and internal equity. Full-time employees may also be eligible for long-term incentives, including stock options, as well as access to medical, vision, and dental coverage, along with a 401(k) retirement plan.
