About the Role

Abbott Laboratories, a global healthcare leader, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join its Heart Failure division. As a key member of the finance team, you will play a critical role in providing financial planning, analysis, and reporting to management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform financial planning and analysis activities for the Heart Failure business unit, including budgeting, forecasting, profit and loss analysis, market modeling, sales analysis, business development, and gross margin analysis.
  • Assist with month-end close activities, including detailed analysis of monthly variances versus latest best estimate (LBE) in close collaboration with Geo FP&A teams.
  • Develop flexible and comprehensive tools and templates to support the consolidation and timely completion of corporate schedules, as well as develop system solutions and process improvements that meet the needs of the financial planning and/or reporting requirements.
  • Maintain an effective and efficient planning process for the division and functional areas being supported, including the coordination of a planning calendar with key dates and deliverables.
  • Partner with key geographies to consolidate month-end, LBE, Plan analysis, and commentary related to the respective financial cycle.
  • Prepare consolidated reporting, presentations, and analysis for quarterly LBE cycles.
  • Participate in ad hoc analysis and reporting as required by finance management.
  • Provide routine reports to management based on knowledge of finance systems and knowledge of the Heart Failure business.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Five to eight years of related experience.
  • Experience with EssBase (Dodeca) and Hyperion/Pillar budgeting software a plus.
  • Knowledge of the principles, processes, and standards for integral financial analysis and reporting.
  • Previous experience working with MS Office Suite: Excel and PowerPoint; must have strong proficiency with relevant financial systems applications. Power BI experience a bonus.
  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
  • Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects.
  • Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
