Key Responsibilities:
As a Financial Analyst, you will deliver financial planning, analytical insights, and reporting to management for the Heart Failure (HF) business unit. Your role will involve:
1. Conducting analysis and reviewing operational outcomes.
2. Assisting with monthly financial closing processes and developing financial models, ad hoc analyses, and presentations that support the quarterly LBE (latest best estimate) forecasting cycles.
3. Engaging in regular financial planning and analysis tasks for the HF business unit, which may encompass budgeting and forecasting, monthly variance assessments, business development, gross margin analysis, capital expenditure, headcount management, and other aspects of the operating expense section of the P&L.
4. Participating in ad hoc analyses, project consolidation, and reporting as directed by finance management.
5. Delivering routine reports to key stakeholders based on your understanding of finance systems and insights into the HF operating expense forecast.
6. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to consolidate month-end analyses and commentary related to the financial closing cycle.
7. Preparing consolidated reports, presentations, and analyses for quarterly LBE cycles.
8. Maintaining positive and cooperative communication and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Previous experience with MS Office Suite: Excel and PowerPoint; strong proficiency with relevant financial systems applications is essential. SAP experience is advantageous.
Skills:
- Ability to operate in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
- Capability to work both as part of a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
- Competence in leveraging and/or engaging others to achieve project goals.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate at various organizational levels.
