Role Overview

The Senior Financial Planning Analyst is responsible for delivering comprehensive financial planning, analysis, and reporting to the management team for the Heart Failure (HF) business unit. This role involves conducting thorough analyses and reviews of operational results.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting monthly financial closing processes and preparing financial models, ad hoc analyses, and presentations for quarterly forecasting cycles.
  • Executing financial planning and analysis tasks for the HF business unit, covering areas such as budgeting, forecasting, profit and loss assessments, market modeling, sales analysis, business development, gross margin analysis, and other components of the HF profit and loss statement.
  • Conducting month-end close activities, including detailed variance analysis in collaboration with regional FP&A teams.
  • Creating adaptable tools and templates to facilitate the consolidation and timely completion of corporate schedules, while also developing system solutions and process enhancements to meet financial planning and reporting needs.
  • Ensuring an efficient planning process for the division and functional areas, coordinating a planning calendar with essential dates and deliverables.
  • Collaborating with key regions to consolidate month-end, latest best estimate (LBE), and planning analyses, providing commentary related to the financial cycle.
  • Preparing consolidated reports, presentations, and analyses for quarterly LBE cycles.
  • Engaging in ad hoc analyses and reporting as required by finance management.
  • Delivering routine reports to management based on expertise in financial systems and knowledge of the HF business.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Five to eight years of relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with EssBase (Dodeca) and Hyperion/Pillar budgeting software is advantageous.
  • A solid understanding of the principles, processes, and standards for comprehensive financial analysis and reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, with strong skills in relevant financial systems applications. Experience with Power BI is a plus.
  • The ability to thrive in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
  • Strong collaboration skills, capable of working both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information effectively at various organizational levels.
