Location: This position is remote, with travel requirements of up to 50% to client sites on short notice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a representative of CYPFER in cybersecurity recovery efforts, engaging with insurance partners, legal advisors, incident response teams, and client executives.
  • Employ advanced forensic tools and methodologies to gather and analyze data from compromised systems.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of system configurations and forensic evidence to determine the extent of breaches.
  • Manage the decryption and validation of encrypted information.
  • Restore and troubleshoot affected physical and virtual servers, including Windows and Linux environments.
  • Design and implement standard operating images using tools like Acronis.
  • Oversee and optimize EDR/XDR solutions such as SentinelOne and Crowdstrike.
  • Lead small project teams and provide mentorship to junior staff members.
  • Administer next-generation firewalls, including log analysis and policy adjustments.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation with minimal oversight.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation, with flexibility to work outside standard hours as required.
Technical Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years in technical support or system administration roles.
  • Comprehensive understanding of networking protocols and systems.
  • Experience in configuring and securing Windows Servers and managing related services.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting MS Exchange and SQL Server environments.
  • Familiarity with Linux operating systems and networking.
  • Expertise in virtualization technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of firewall configurations and security measures.
  • Experience with data storage technologies and enterprise backup solutions.
Business Skills:
  • Stay updated on information security trends and recovery techniques.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align recovery strategies with business objectives.
  • Demonstrate strong customer service and consulting abilities.
  • Provide training and support to junior consultants.
  • Maintain compliance with internal policies and security protocols.
  • Exhibit excellent communication and relationship management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in risk assessment and incident response.
  • Knowledge of digital forensics and threat detection.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments such as Azure and AWS.
  • Relevant industry certifications are advantageous.
