About the Role:

The security team at Tokio Marine HCC is in search of a knowledgeable and passionate senior analyst to join our ranks. Your contributions will be significant. You will mentor junior analysts, assist in the formulation and execution of both daily operations and long-term strategic initiatives, and apply your expertise to bolster our cybersecurity defenses, mitigate risks, and protect our organizational assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage incident response initiatives, investigating and resolving security incidents.
  • Develop and enhance SIEM correlation rules and alerts.
  • Utilize PowerShell and Python scripting to automate repetitive tasks, optimize processes, and improve efficiency within the Security Operations Center (SOC).
  • Employ regex patterns to analyze and interpret log data for threat detection and correlation.
  • Engage in proactive threat hunting activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security best practices and strengthen the overall security framework.
  • Stay informed on the latest trends, threats, and vulnerabilities in cybersecurity.
Skills and Experience:
Essential:
  • 5+ years of experience in a SOC environment, with a focus on incident response and threat detection.
  • Expertise in SIEM platforms and experience in tuning and optimizing SIEM rules and queries.
  • Strong scripting capabilities in PowerShell and Python.
  • In-depth understanding of regex for log parsing and pattern recognition.
  • Experience with threat hunting methodologies and tools.
  • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Strong communication skills for mentoring and conveying technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience with cloud incident response, logging, and detection.
Desirable:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Cybersecurity, etc.)
  • Certifications such as Security+, GIAC, or equivalent are highly regarded.
