Location: Remote with travel requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a representative of CYPFER in managing cybersecurity incident recovery, liaising with insurance partners, legal representatives, client executives, and technical teams.
  • Employ sophisticated tools and techniques to gather and evaluate forensic data from compromised systems.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of system configurations and forensic evidence to determine breaches and assist forensic teams.
  • Decrypt and validate encrypted information.
  • Restore and troubleshoot affected physical and virtual servers, including Windows and Linux systems, impacted by ransomware or other security breaches.
  • Design and implement standard images using backup solutions.
  • Manage and optimize endpoint detection and response (EDR/XDR) solutions.
  • Foster collaboration among team members to ensure exceptional service delivery.
  • Lead smaller projects and provide guidance as a senior contributor in larger initiatives.
  • Administer next-generation firewalls, including log analysis and policy management.
  • Prepare clear and concise reports with minimal oversight.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation, with availability for weekend and after-hours work as necessary.
  • Willingness to travel on short notice for client engagements, with travel frequency up to 50%.

Technical Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years in technical support, system administration, or a related field.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the OSI Model and TCP/IP protocols.
  • Experience in designing, installing, and securing Windows Servers, including management of DNS, DHCP, and other critical services.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting MS Exchange and MS SQL servers.
  • Ability to install and configure Linux systems with a strong grasp of networking principles.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies.
  • Knowledge of advanced firewall configurations.
  • Expertise in storage solutions and enterprise backup systems.
