ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Senior Cybersecurity Architect is tasked with the design, development, and maintenance of robust security solutions, architectures, and standards. This role encompasses a wide array of security controls, including network, endpoint, web, data, and cloud security, alongside detection and response capabilities. The ideal candidate will possess a high level of technical expertise and will serve as a mentor and advisor within the team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Deliver technical guidance and support in the creation and maintenance of security solutions, ensuring they function effectively and align with business objectives;
  • Lead or contribute to the design and implementation of security countermeasures, systems integration, and tools tailored to cyber and information technology operations;
  • Adhere to change control protocols and implement technical enhancements regularly;
  • Independently identify security vulnerabilities and propose corrective measures;
  • Initiate and design process improvements, automation, and risk mitigation strategies;
  • Provide engineering leadership during security incidents, facilitating root cause analysis and effective remediation;
  • Develop documentation including SOPs, instructional materials, and training processes;
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments of applications, operating systems, and networks, offering recommendations for security enhancements;
  • Support various cybersecurity monitoring and auditing initiatives;
  • Act as a mentor and educator for team members;
  • Ensure timely completion of tasks with a focus on quality;
  • Communicate professionally in all written formats, adhering to company standards and free from errors;
  • Present information confidently and accurately in both verbal and written formats;
  • Foster a positive team culture grounded in integrity, inclusion, transparency, and accountability;
  • Engage in collaborative problem-solving during meetings and discussions;
  • Safeguard confidential information from unauthorized disclosure;
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by IT leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years in the cybersecurity domain.
  • Certifications:
    • Required: CISSP, GSEC, GCED, or similar industry certifications.
    • Proven experience in developing and designing systems and solutions based on business requirements.
    • Familiarity with Azure, Office 365, or Microsoft 365 environments.
    • Expertise in various cybersecurity technologies such as Okta, Proofpoint, Tanium, CrowdStrike, Zscaler, BeyondTrust, or equivalent platforms.
    • Experience in managing security programs including vulnerability management and endpoint security.
    • Advanced troubleshooting and technical research skills.
    • In-depth knowledge of Windows and Linux security principles.
    • Strong understanding of security best practices, networking concepts, and system administration.
    • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and demonstrate proficiency.
    • High proficiency in Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
    • Exceptional technical writing and presentation skills, ensuring clear and accurate communication.
    • Experience with programming and/or scripting is a plus.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Travel: Minimal, up to 10%.
  • Occasional weekend or late-night work may be required.
  • Physical requirements include prolonged sitting, standing, walking, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
